Burnt Store Water Use Permit; Charlotte County Utilities, Port Charlotte
Southeastern Technical Solutions was asked to assume responsibility for the Burnt Store Water Use Permit after the initial permit application was submitted. STS staff attended numerous coordination meetings and prepared in-depth responses to three (3) Requests for Additional Information from the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD). Areas of inquiry from SWFWMD included demand projections, water conservation, reclaimed water, customer billing, wellfield management, groundwater monitoring, and withdrawal impacts. STS successfully negotiated a Water Use Permit that contained the full requested water allocation as well as timeframes for Special Conditions that were favorable to the County.
