Membrane Softening Water Treatment Plant Expansion; Florida Research Park, Jupiter

Southeastern Technical Solutions president, Ms. Shondra Neumeister, was the Engineer of Record for the design and permitting of an expansion of an existing 170,000 gallon per day membrane softening water treatment plant to a 2.0 MGD facility treating Floridan Aquifer Water. Project elements included two new 10-inch Floridan wells, two (2) new 5-micorn pretreatment cartridge filters, two membrane feed pumps, two reverse osmosis membrane units, one 21,000 gallon clearwell, three transfer pumps, one 1.4 million gallon storage tank, and one new high service pump. Additional permitted modifications to the treatment plant included upgrading the disinfection (sodium hypochlorite) storage and feed system, adding a membrane cleaning system, upsizing the sulfuric acid and anti-scalant pumps, expanding the sodium hydroxide system, and upgrading the emergency backup power system.
